Q. What is Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA)?
A. Autism is a complex developmental disability that is typically evident in the first three years of life. It occurs in an estimated 15 out of 10,000 births, and is more common in boys than girls. Autism occurs along a 'spectrum', and therefore displays itself in a wide variety of forms from mild to severe, occurring by itself or together with other disorders that affect child development. Children with autism may show disturbances in the rate and sequencing of development across the areas of communication, social, physical, and language skills.
